Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania) is an American country pop singer-songwriter, record producer, actress and multiple Grammy winner.


Taylor Swift was born in 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania, the daughter of a housewife Andrea and Scott Swift stockbroker. She grew up in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania on a younger brother; the parents had a nursery for Christmas trees. Their maternal grandmother was a professional opera singer. Swift was interested in early stage for country music by artists such as LeAnn Rimes, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, the Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain.

At the age of ten years, Swift began to participate in karaoke contests and to appear as a singer at festivals and fairs. But they already wrote their own songs. At age eleven, she tried to get a contract with various record labels in Nashville. At 14, she was discovered performing at the Bluebird Café Scott Borchetta, who undertook Big Machine Records for his new record label. In the same year the family moved to Hendersonville in Tennessee. In addition to her musical and cinematic career Taylor designed in collaboration with the Elizabeth Arden brand own perfume named Wonder Struck.

Music career

Published in 2006, Swift debut single Tim McGraw, with which it reached # 6 in the US country charts. Their debut album Taylor Swift was published on 24 October 2006 and could climb to 5th place in the Billboard 200 charts. It was awarded by the RIAA with quintuple platinum. In February 2010, led her Fearless tour of five cities in Australia, where the country band Gloriana appeared in the opening act.

Swift’s third album Speak Now, which was released in October 2010 worldwide, sold in the US within the first week more than one million times. The 14 or 22 songs for the album originated in Arkansas, New York City, Boston and Nashville and were exclusively written by Swift himself. As co-producer Nathan Chapman occurred, who was involved already at Swifts first two albums. The first single of the album was mine. Back To December, Mean, The Story Of Us, Sparks Fly and Ours were the other singles of the album. With Mean Swift won two Grammy’s. Swifts fourth studio album Red was released on 22 October 2012, and was produced by Nathan Chapman. The first single from this album, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, was published in August 2012 Design. As second single Begin Again was released, but could not achieve chart position in Germany. The third single I Knew You Were Trouble was published on 8 October 2012, and could end reach good charts positions. You could place in the top 10 in Germany, reaching number 2 in the UK and the USA. The single sold over 3 million copies in the US. The fourth single is 22. It was published on 12 March 2013 in the US and on April 1, 2013 in the UK. The studio album Red was able to more than 6 million copies sold worldwide.
