Warren G was also the Dr. Dre, who was successful already with the group N.w.a, a tape with original songs was lying on the desk, so finally the contact with Snoop came. 213 broke up, as Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg were taken by Dr. Dre at Death Row Records and Warren G at Def Jam contract.

The process dragged on for three years and affected Snoop Dogg’s work on a new album, which finally in 1996 was titled Tha Dogg Father.
Snoop Dogg was founded to teenage years the group “Dogg Pound Gangsta Clicc” (D.P.G.C.). To D.P.G.C. include some well-known West Coast artists such as Daz Dillinger, Kurupt and Nate Dogg, and RBX, Lady Of Rage, Bad Azz (another cousin of Snoop) and Soopafly. Snoops Cousin Daz Dillinger published in 1995 with his partner Kurupt album Dogg Food under the name Tha Dogg Pound.
1998 – 2001: No Limit Records
Then came for Snoop Doggy Dogg a break in the career: He separated from Dr. Dre (who now founded his own label “Aftermath”), emphasized the “Doggy” from its name because the rights to its previous name for Death Row Records were, and signed a contract with the rap mogul from New Orleans Master P on his label “No limit Records”. Here he released three albums. Was released in 1998 with Da Game Is to Be Sold a more commercial rap album with several guest appearances of the No Limit label. Even Dr. Dre contributed again in some productions.

However, this album turned most old fans of Snoop poor: too many guests from the pop music and the lack of a hint of the West Coast sounds gave rise to criticism.
Daz Dillinger and Kurupt buried in 2005 their quarrel and went along with Snoop Dogg, The Game and Soopafly on US tour. The founder of the Crips Gear, Stanley “Tookie” Williams was not pardoned after 25 years in prison despite clemency from his lawyers and finally executed on 13 December 2005 by lethal injection.
